Good Times

Ah yes, the day has come -- we can outsource pulling the wagon to big sister :-)

Jack got his first shiner (not related to sister pulling the wagon). While at the playground he was hard at play and knocked his eye on his toy push car. Matt would like to plead innocent for once as Jack was under Grandma D's watch when it happened :-)

Last week Ainsley was invited to a friends house for Navratri Doll Festival, a new experience for us! Her friend Riya let her borrow an outfit to wear for the special occasion.

Diamond Family is Well!

After two weeks of illnesses, five doctor visits, and four prescriptions for antibiotics, all five us are finally well. Phew!

This is a holiday weekend for us in Singapore for Hari Raya. This morning we went to a friends house to watch the UT/Texas Tech game on their sling box. It was an 8am (Sunday morning) kickoff, so we enjoyed breakfast while watching the game. The kids had fun dressing up in the matching colors. Between hand-me-downs and gifts we seem to have a house full of burnt orange!

The girls waiting on the taxi in the lobby of our complex...

Jack on the playground last week having a blast! (this is not our toy, but he loves to borrow it from our neighbor)

A few weeks ago we added a new toy to our playland. It was half price at Toys R Us and the kids LOVE it...

Grandma D is in town for a visit and we are excited to have her here. The kids are really enjoying her visit. Grandpa D will be joining us too in just a couple of weeks!!!

Piper Down!

The Diamond family is currently under construction, repairing stuffy noses, coughs, and upset tummies. Ainsley is the only well one in the house. Why isn't she making the rest of us chicken soup and nursing us back to health? She is apparently too busy taking care of her entourage...she has given them "medicine" and happy stickers to make them feel better. Her crew has grown to over 20 dolls and animals so she is clearly too busy for the rest of us.

Water Fun

The American Club updated their kid's water area and we showed up early Saturday morning ready to check it out. The kids absolutely loved it. They cried when we had to go home and they all took REALLY good naps!

This picture has nothing to do with "water fun" but it is cute. Ainsley helped me bake banana bread and Kara was trying to help too. Ainsley is, of course, half naked because she prefers to be naked as much as possible.

Jack's First Haircut!

After the first cut, Jack looks dashing...
This shows the back. (He is no longer wearing his shirt because he threw up his snack and I had to use the shirt to clean it up.)

Ainsley loves playing in the balls at the indoor playground at the Forum mall. We love the air conditioning in the playground. There is something for everyone to enjoy!

What kind of week would it be without a glamorous outfit choice by Miss Dressup herself? This weekend she chose a lovely sweater meant for 3-6 month olds and called it her raincoat. She wore it an entire day and low and behold it actually did end up raining and she was very proud of herself for having her raincoat.

Kara is Walking!

This isn't the best display of her walking because it was at the end of a long weekend and she is watching TV as she does this, but you get the idea...

Borneo

We spent five days in Kota Kinabalu, which is in Malaysia on the island of Borneo. What a great vacation!

We took a boat trip one morning. Guess who wanted to sit next to the captain?
Water buffalo!
Passing through the mangrove trees:We stopped at a river house for a snack. Ainsley enjoyed the coconut water.

Our hotel had a nature preserve where you can visit orangutan. Matt took Ainsley to check it out...
At the kid's club Ainsley really loved the zip line. She must have done this 50 times:
We vacationed with some friends of ours who also have twins + an older sibling. Each night we ate dinner together we had to order a table for 10 and it was full of kids!

We spent plenty of time on the beach. Ainsley loved the beach and the ocean and we discovered that Jack does too. He can only crawl, but he crawled over and over again into the waves until they got too high for him. He also couldn't get enough of the sand. Kara was a bit less excited about the beach and wanted nothing to do with the water. She made peace with the sand, but only if it was dry sand, she didn't care for the wet sand.
And of course, THE POOL! The slide was Ainsley's favorite. She could go down it all by herself. And she did. Over, and over, and over, and over again.

All three on our last night before dinner...

The plane ride was hard, but vacationing with all of the kids is getting a bit easier. We enjoyed it a ton and look forward to our next adventure!!!!!!!!
