For Columbus day weekend (school holiday) we found a great deal on direct flights to NYC! We stayed with friends and thoroughly enjoyed touring the city and laughing with friends.

Fall 2014

Fall is in the air! The beginning of UT football, fall sports, and other fun stuff.

First UT home game:

Byker Woods Elementary is celebrating 75 years this year (opened in 1939) and this school year will include lots of fun celebrations! To kick off the celebration there was a school-wide parade with the Austin high school band, and visits from the mayor of Austin and a congressman who attended Bryker Woods when he was a boy.

Jack decided to start golf and so far he loves it!

End of Summer

It was a great summer! In our final weeks of school break we squeezed in more trips to the pool, more Top Golf, fun with friends, horse riding camp, and fun with Grandma & Grandpa D.

Road Trip to Alabama

For our last trip of the summer we drove to Gulf Shores, Alabama to meet up with Uncle Luke, Aunt Amanda, and Emma.

First stop along the way we stayed a night in New Orleans. We walked around a bit, enjoyed a nice dinner, devoured some tasty beignets, and then swam in the hotel pool.

After a fun night in New Orleans we headed East... but first a stop at Cracker Barrel:

Finally -- Gulf Shores!

Lots of great beach time, cousin time, and games at night.

The drive back to Austin was completed in one day. Total drive time from Gulf Shores to Austin = 12 hours.
